Anyone up for a contest?
Time to put your rhyming skills to work!
Your instructions are as follows:
1. Pick a song
2. Rewrite said song, with lyrics about how Doctor Who has affected your life. Or just basically about Doctor Who. But preferably how it’s affected you.
3. Send me the lyrics to it here (http://becauseofdoctorwho.tumblr.com/submit), along with whatever song it’s tune is to. Or if you have some sort of musical talent, send a video of your performing it!
I’ll pick whichever is the best, and I’ll either post your video, or (if you only send lyrics) I’ll find someone to sing it. It might be me. It will actually probably be me.
While it doesn’t have to include the phrase “because of Doctor Who”, it would be cool. Cause you know…that’s what the blog is called.
The contest ends at midnight (Whatever timezone California is in) on January 25, 2012. I’m hoping 2 weeks is enough time to write a solid song.
And go kittens go! If I can find one suitable, there will actually be a material prize along with the fame, fortune, and bragging rights you can win. Possibly a bouquet of puppies. A gift basket of live centipedes.
